On July 16,1969, the Apollo 11 containing Neil Armstrong and other astronauts blasted into space. It took them 4 days to reach the moon and another 4 days to orbit back into Earth. On July 20,1969 the Apollo 11 of the US was the first manned mission to land on the moon. It was such a huge success, not only for the Americans but also to all humankind. The first man on the moon and the first mission to successfully set foot on the moon. Millions of miles away from Earth, Neil Armstrong uttered his famous line “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. Those powerful words shook the world and inspired millions. And it may all be a hoax. To deceive the world and gain advantage over the space race. Here are some of the reasons why.
There was no sign or visual confirmation of a blast crate under the Apollo 11, the aircraft Neil Armstrong used to venture and land on the moon. With a powerful rocket on high temperature, a blast crate should be there but there was none. It was a real mystery to all. Another intriguing phenomenon observed was the waiving American flag. It is surprising that the flag was waiving even if there was no air on the moon. The moon has no atmosphere so why is it that the flag was waiving? A question that we may never know the real answer. And lastly, on the famous footage of the moon landing, it can be observed that in the pitch black space, no stars were visible. In a place distant to earth and has no atmosphere to obstruct the view of stars, there was surprisingly no stars visible. An intriguing fact on the famous footage.
All I can say is that wether it is true or not, it gave humankind an inspiration and hope to achieve more. It gave people dreams and made them aware of what they can do. They made us believe that we can venture and explore the cosmos. Space was for us to explore and is the final frontier.
