The word Bermuda Triangle also known as the Devils Triangle was a term coined by Vincent Gaddis in 1964 when he wrote for a fiction magazine, argasy. He described the Bermuda as a killer place where he mentioned cases of unexplainable disapperances of boats and airplanes.
One of the first cases was about the flight 19 where 5 tbm torpedo bomb avengers airplanes with 14 crew men disappeared in an area inside the bermuda triangle on december 05, 1945. The flight was from Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale, Florida which departed at estimated time 2:10 pm it is said that they have routine exercises that time and there were sure no problem about the weather that day. Another thing is that, the planes they used are known as "Iron Birds" which is said to be planes that are able to be used in wars. It is a flight which is led by Lieutenant Flight Charles Taylor. It is said that he got lost in the now known Bermuda Triangle and said that the compass they were using was malfunctioning while they are above the said sea.
The disappearance of the flight 19 is said to be a really weird occurence because there was no founded materials and bodies from the lost flight. One thing that added to its unexplainable lost are these words from one of its pilot where he said " We can't find west, everything is wrong. We can't be sure of any direction. everything looks strange. even the ocean." The last message was from Lieutenant Charles Taylor where he said almost the same thing but said that they are literally "lost".
There are a lot of proposed theories as to why such occurence happened. One of them said that it is because the bermuda is an alternative universe where people are sucked in to go to another functioning place hence explained the missing bodies and materials. While another theory proposed that it is because it is a place where planes and ships should not sail because of it being naturally dangerous and is supported by the fact that a lot of natural occurences such as tornadoes and storms often happen there and it being part of the deep ocean explained the lost evidences.
All those theories that are mentioned is somehow unbelievable to me, especially the first thing about the alternate universe. For me, there is no such thing as alternate universe given that there are no really evidences that shows its relevance and legitimacy. While for the second theory, it has parts where it is kind of believable, but if it is the real case then there must have been evidences that is found near the bermuda. Such as materials from the planes and bodies.
One theory especially caught my attention, it the is theory where it is said that the bermuda triangle is a large underwater magnetic field which explaines the disappearances of boats and planes. I believed that out of every proposed theory this is the most reasonable out of them all. Which explains the malfunctioning compasses and the complete vanishing of the materials and people inside it. But as of now, the disapperance of both and ships and planes are still a mystery and is unsolved. Where could the flight 19 be?
