A Home for the Greatest

Last summer, May of 2018 I had visited my grandparents' place in Mindoro Occidental. It was a fun experience until I visited them again when I finally had my semestral break from school for a week on the last week of October. A week full of laughter, adventures, and trying out foods that are new to my taste. My grandparents own a wide field that is full of different trees, crops, and a really wide rice field. Having to stay for a week is already a heaven thinking that I'm alone with them means that I could have their time and do the things we haven't done before.

Every morning, a wake up call is given on me by my grandfather. He wakes up around 4 AM to start the things they need to do for the morning that I have actually no idea what it was because of me not being a morning person. Whenever I wake up at 4 AM, what I'll only do is to drink the coffee that was prepared by them and it's really weird because I could still go back to sleep afterwards.

In the noon, where I would usually wake up. Our foods are already prepared at the table to eat. In the late afternoon, I got to be with them outside, at the field. We would pick any fruits we wanted to eat and lay a picnic blanket on the grass where it is really comfortable to sit and lay down, watching the clouds move slowly.

During the night, we got to play board games that teens usually play that I proposed to do with them while I was there. My one week stay at the province was very fulfilling. It got my body rest for a week from numerous school work. That vacation is what I'm really thankful for as I did not only got to spent my time with my grandparents but with the nature as well. I will surely miss the moments I have with them as we only see each other occasionally.
