If everyone has the opportunity
to be payed for doing what they like, it will probably be a heavenly place. One
might choose to be payed for playing video games for hours, staring at a screen
holding a game controller and having the time of their lives. One could choose
the job of sleeping for hours and be payed for it. One could choose their job
to be a star of an eating show or “mukbang” to receive some money. All of these
are too good to be true, some may have such opportunity but not everyone could.
As a person whose habit is to
basically laze around, staring at her phone all day, fingers do nothing but
scroll through her news feed— I may have the choice to do
these things and be payed for it. However, as good as it may sound, imagining
such thing as reality seem to be sad because you hardly contribute anything to
the society. Will that be your only purpose?
There is a saying that goes, “If
you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.” I have a couple of
dreams I would love to do. First is to be a psychiatrist, which also leads me
to undergoing Med School. Second is to be an author/writer. I dream of writing
my own novels one day to make use and express this playful mind of mine.
Lastly, I want to officially be a Make up a Make Up Artist. I can say that I’m
pretty much skilled when it comes to the brushes and powders. Also, this is
actually one of my biggest dreams.
Let’s focus on that last dream of
mine which is being a Make Up Artist. Make Up Artists are actually on the rise
these days especially on Instagram and Youtube where they post their works. I’m
actually one of those who are part of the Instagram Community. I also would
like to start a Youtube channel one day but is too shy to do so. Therefore,
this is the job I would choose if I were able to do so.
A lot of people think that makeup
is only used to be pretty and to please the eyes of men. It is actually not.
Makeup is much more than that. Makeup is how I express myself, show my forms of
art and my own method of relaxation.
There are actually a lot of
influencers who are now successful from doing makeup. First is James Charles.
James Charles is only 19 years of age but is already able to buy his own house
and give back to his own parents. Second is Manny MUA, who has done the same
things and is now having his own cosmetics company. Third is Nikkie Tutorials
who now have her own home and a couple of luxury cars. We also have some
Filipino Youtubers (Beauty Gurus) who are now successful from doing makeup.
First is Patrick Starr who now have at least four collections with MAC
Cosmetics, done the makeup of Katty Perry, Jessie J, and Kim Kardashian. Lastly
Bretman Rock who also had collections with few makeup brands and is so
overwhelmed at how he achieved so much in just a few years. These people get
payed for doing their promo codes, sponsors, and Adsense from Youtube.
Even though we have the
opportunity to get payed for being lazy, let’s not take advantage of what life
gives us. Practically may be part of the questions but let’s be practical not
only for ourselves but to society. We should work hard, and life would give
back to us and as time goes on, opportunities will come to us.
