Rio Nights

We only have 5 days left before we fly back to Manila. Out of nowhere we decided to book a flight to Rio, Brazil for our last minute trip. When we got to the Rio airport, the weather was similar to the Philippines but a little bit cooler. Outside the airport the traffic was hectic! Some spots of the city were similar to Manila’s spots (Taft area). When we got to the famous Ipanema & Copacabana beach I noticed the similarities of the beaches to the Roxas Boulevard area next to Manila bay. Brazilians are super friendly, no doubt! They’re pure of energy! Dancers everywhere and you’ll see locals everywhere playing soccer. Rio showed me the diversity of their country, the excitement and beauty. You’ll see people of different colours in one area, just having fun and spreading positivity. When it comes to the beach, no matter what colour or size are you, you are always welcome! No one will judge you, you’ll be able to have fun and just enjoy the tropical breeze. Some people say the less the fabric makes you a local, covered up fabrics means you’re a tourist. But it doesn’t matter just have fun! We also went to the Christ the Redeemer, going up I met a few Brazilians and had a chit chat with them they were super friendly and the exchange of cultural stories was interesting. Brazil will always  be one of my favourite countries! The excitement that brings me is different and the country is really beautiful compared to how the media portrays Brazil besides the country’s problem we should always appreciate the beauty and always respect our countries.
